This Smarch in particular has seen several instances of exceedingly poor form involving someone deciding to simply cease communication instead of telling me what's going on. I realize many people say they prefer directness even if the news is bad, but they actually don't mean it. As far as I can tell, I really do mean it. Though it may suck to hear the bad news at that very moment, it's far easier later on to know "Ah yes, that's what happened" instead of "Nope...still no clue why that happened. Could happen again, and I still wouldn't know what to do."
