On flying

...due completely to the wench-ly influence of the fabulous thewronghands. And really, the moral of this early evening was that whooshing through the air on the trapeze is one of the Best Things Ever (TM). It is yet another way to be a bird, a great swooping thing made of elegance and air and speed. Hurrah!

Yeah, well, the fear of heights is in relation to the fear of falling. I'm not nervous at all when standing on a tall building, or looking out the airplane window with the ground 30,000 feet below. I'm sure I could overcome it... it's like whenever I go to the diving boards: the 3 meter platform takes so much energy to take that initial plunge. Then I find out I love it :)

My body just has to learn to adapt to a little free-fall. How far up were you trapezing?

Mmm, maybe 40 feet? So not too high, and the net's at least 10 feet off the ground, as well.
